A Customised SEO Strategy for an Iconic Australian Surf Brand

Rusty is one of Australia’s leading lifestyle brands, offering a wide range of surfwear, surfboards and accessories. Born in the late 80’s, drawing inspiration directly from indie music, contemporary art & cutting-edge fashion, Rusty has grown into an icon in their industry, selling online and in-stores across the globe.

Rusty were referred to Reload to assist with migrating the SEO components of their site from the Magento 1 platform onto Shopify. Prior to the site migration, the organic search channel was responsible for a large portion of Rusty’s overall website traffic and revenue. We knew a potential drop in this organic traffic, resulting from a poorly executed SEO migration, could have a huge impact on Rusty’s overall business revenue.

To mitigate the risk involved, Reload worked closely with the Rusty team and their web developers to protect organic traffic and any high-value keywords that the site was already ranking for organically. We developed a full SEO Audit and migration plan to ensure the new site allowed for the continued organic growth of the Rusty brand.

How Reload Drove a 166% Increase in Ecommerce Revenue for Philip Kingsley

Philip Kingsley’s world-renowned clinics, in both London and New York, offer treatment for serious hair and scalp conditions. Philip Kingsley were keen to do more with their flagship product, the Trichotherapy Regime. A product video was already planned and Philip Kingsley requested a large scale brand awareness campaign to increase awareness of what Trichotherapy actually was, as well as providing huge exposure for the Philip Kingsley brand.

The key objectives were to increase brand awareness and ecommerce sales. Through a PPC campaign targeting both UK and US markets, and an SEO campaign aimed at improving organic visibility on Google, Reload helped Philip Kingsley increase annual ecommerce revenue by 62% within six months.

Philip Kingsley certainly made an impact, with the video & image ads showing 361,139 times across YouTube, Facebook and, a range of beauty websites, through programmatic video advertising. Using multiple touch points at various points in the purchase cycle, we were able to achieve a 166% Year on Year increase in product revenue for the Trichotherapy regime.
